ArtCraft download guide

Updated 2026-10-13

We do not host any files. This page points you to the official sources and explains which package to pick.

Quick answer
  • Official sources: getartcraft.com/apps and github.com/storytold.
  • Easiest route: the ArtCraft Launcher, which installs every app and keeps them up to date.
  • Every release includes SHA256SUMS.txt — verify before installing.
  • Avoid look-alike domains. At least one independent “mirror” site re-hosts the installers and describes itself as not being the official project.

How to install ArtCraft apps

  1. Download the Launcher or a single app
From the official links above. The Launcher is the project’s recommended route.
  2. Verify the checksum
Compare the SHA-256 of the file you downloaded with the value in SHA256SUMS.txt from the same GitHub release.
  3. Install and open
Run the installer for your OS. The apps are new and alpha-stage, so your operating system may show an unrecognized-app warning; only continue if the checksum matched an official release.
  4. Work on copies
It is alpha software. Open copies of your PSDs and projects, not the only original.

FAQ

Is the ArtCraft download free?

Yes. The Crafting Apps are free and open source, with no subscription required.

Is there an ArtCraft download for Linux?

Yes — Flatpak, AppImage, .deb, .rpm and tarballs are listed for x86_64 and ARM64 on the PhotoCraft and VectorCraft pages.

Can I build the apps myself?

Yes. See our GitHub page for the repositories and cargo commands.
